I’m sorry for missing last week’s Monday Morning Diary. The manuscript for Mikey’s Absolution is due this Friday, November 28. The novel will be published on Wednesday, December 3.  It’s been a fantastic journey, and I want to thank site regulars Tony D’Ambra and Lee Price for their work, help, and encouragement.  Of the three books I have written, I am proudest of this one for many reasons. A huge thank you to Rob Bignell, who edited and formatted the work, and to my artist Andrew Castrucci, who again fashioned extraordinary cover art. Kudos to my new graphic designer, Daniel Velle.  Mikey’s Absolution will probably be on Amazon on Thursday, December 4, in paperback and Kindle formats. I will release a hardcover at Barnes & Noble sometime in early February.  I have begun the fourth novel, The Glorification of Sarah Furano.

We are wishing our friends stateside a Happy Thanksgiving on Thursday!

Many thanks to Lee Price for his sensational series on Kenji Mizoguchi’s Sansho the Bailiff.

Ratings for the films seen this past week:  Crossing (4.5); Emelia Perez (4.0); A Real Pain (4.5); My Old Ass (4.0); Blitz (4.5); The Piano Lesson (4.0); Small Things Like These (5.0)
